Where would I begin my visit?

Meeting point: Mádah Imre Tér by the statue of Sissi

Discover together with us who were the Arrow Crosses and the liberation of the city from the Red Army.

Did you know that most of the Jews who were deported to Auschwitz were Hungarians? In this tour we will learn about the Holocaust trial in Hungary, but also the righteous among the nations: those heroes who “rowed against the current of hostility and indifference against the Jewish community”.

The area where this tour takes place is one of the most traditional neighborhoods of Budapest, Erzsébetváros, also known as the Jewish Quarter. In this neighborhood the main synagogues are concentrated and with our visit we shall take the chance to recognize the different branches of Judaism.

A further characteristic of this neighborhood lies in its epicenter of the nightlife. Walking through its streets you will find an endless number of restaurants and bars. Therefore, one cannot fail to mention the Khoser food and the main dishes of the Jewish-Hungarian food. However, it is the ruin bars that mark the pulse of the area. We will comment on its origins and we will farewell in one of its most famous bars.
